Terms and Conditions of Western Front Tours (WFT) - 2012
All WFT prices are quoted in Euro.

With WFT, all Entrance Fees and lunches are included in the Tour Fee. When visiting Ypres for the “Last Post” ceremony, the evening meal is also included. Alcohol is not provided with any meals.

A 30% deposit for each Tour must be paid within seven days from the receipt of the WFT Booking Confirmation. The balance must be received by WFT at least twenty-one days prior to the commencement of any Tour/s.

Children must be accompanied by one or more adults and those aged five to fifteen years at the time of Tour delivery shall be charged at a reduced price. WFT reserves the right to view documentary evidence of age if any doubt exists.

All persons travelling with WFT must have valid, comprehensive travel insurance at the time of the tour and must carry their emergency contact information with them at all times.

All persons who are legally required to carry a Passport must carry that Passport at all times during any Tour.

Refund of WFT Tour Fee/s is/are available for cancellations up to twenty-one days before the date of the Tour/s, as booked. (Administration Charges may apply).

Refund of 50% is available for cancellations up to fourteen days before the date of the Tour/s.
No refund is available for cancellations under fourteen days before the date of the Tour/s, which includes “no shows” on the day.


If you have booked a Tour and find yourself unable to attend on that date, you may move to an alternate date (if the newly requested date is available), provided that at least two full days notice is given to WFT.

Should WFT be unable to deliver any proposed Tour/s, as booked, then WFT’s liability will be limited to a full refund of WFT Tour Fees. No refund will be applicable, in the event that any Tour is prevented due to “Force Majeure”.

All bookings are on a non-exclusive/shared basis.

All Tours are conducted exclusively in English (the Aussie variety).

Helpful Hints
Please note that most of Europe operates on the 24hr clock, thus 4.00pm will be 16:00hrs or 16 h in France, You may move through different time ones, so please be careful when catching trains and setting meeting times.

Keep to the Right on escalators and moving walkways (also applies in England)

Queuing for service is usual in France.

Any person with a potentially life-threatening or serious allergy should have a written message (in French) so that they may appropriately warn those that they interact with.

Shop keepers and other service providers do expect and do appreciate a polite hello (Bonjour) upon arrival and goodbye (Au Revoir) when you leave.

Attendance at a “French for Travellers” course before leaving Australia can be beneficial and fun.

Once in France, TVA (similar to GST) will apply @5.5% for accommodation and food in restaurants and cafes. 19.6% applies for all other items.
