Peronne - Second Division Memorial - Rear View
Looking at the rear of the Memorial and on towards the high ground from the direction of the attack on 18 September 1918.

Originally, the Memorial depicted an Australian soldier about to bayonet the German Eagle but this was so offensive to the Germans that they pulled it down when they were in occupation during WW2.
