| Fromelles-Bullecourt Tour Want to visit Fromelles but don't have time to go on to Ypres! This Day Tour will suit those who are coming up from Paris for the day and just have to get to Fromelles. We depart Arras around 9.00am and head north for the 35 minute drive to the village and battlefield of Fromelles, where we will spend the morning. Returning to Arras, we stop for lunch in the beautiful Grand Place, in the old part of this rural city, before going out to Bullecourt. Once there, we will view and then visit the battlefield to stand along the position from where the Australians launched their attack in the two Battles of Bullecourt in 1917. We then return to Arras for your return journey to Paris. Itinerary Depart from Arras at around 9.00am Visit to the former Mass Grave site in Fromelles Visit to the Fromelles (Pheasant Wood) Military Cemetery Visit to the Australian Memorial Park (with Cobbers Statue) in the battlefield area Visit to the all Australian VC Corner Cemetery Lunch in Arras Visit to and view the Bullecourt/Riencourt battlefield Visit to the Cross Memorial, the Digger Memorial and the Slouch Hat Memorial Visit to the Jean and Denise Letaille Museum Return to Arras for the 6.00pm conclusion of Tour.
