Day at Bullecourt
Enjoy a long walk with the opportunity to breathe some French country air? On this Day Tour, we drive out from Arras to Bullecourt, leave the Tour Vehicle in the village and go out for a long walk around the allied perimeter of this battlefield This will provide excellent views out over the battlefield. A lunch in the Grande Place in Arras will give your feet and legs a little rest before we return for the shorter walk out into and through the centre of the battlefield. We will follow in the footsteps of some of those brave lads. Not for the faint-hearted, this is a solid walking tour of about 8 to 9ks, some of it over rough ground so comfy shoes or boots are essential. If there has been some recent rain, then we will get a good taste of that mud that is so often spoken about by the original diggers who were forced to live in it.
